Dechenla outdoor adventure education & self-awareness.
The incredible diversity of the area, the prevalence of unique landforms, and its pristine nature, makes this area a natural classroom. The mere fact that 4 major biomes (tundra, alpine, sub-alpine, boreal forest) come together, linked by the Canol Heritage Trail, opens up many possibilities to learn and conduct research. Also, the remoteness and serenity of this area, far away from the distractions of urban life, provide the right ambience to promote self-awareness and healing. Added to this is the rich history of the aboriginal people of the area. We can put together youth programs, outdoor adventure education programs, or healing programs. We can also tailor programs to meet the needs of your specific group. We also encourage research, and invite colleges and other educational institutions to consider this area for outdoor educational courses. We can provide room and board, vehicle access, and internet access (upon request). And we have the qualifications and experience to teach environmental science, conservation biology, and wildlife management. Please contact us if you are interested in this program – we will discuss price and services according to your groups’ needs.
